Post-Surgery Rehabilitation
The part of the operation that happens after you leave the hospital.
Overview
Protocol-led recovery, at the pace your surgeon signed off
A good operation still needs good rehabilitation. The weeks after surgery decide how much movement, strength and confidence you get back — and how much scar tissue and stiffness you’re left with.
We work from your surgeon’s protocol, stage by stage, so nothing is loaded before it’s ready and nothing is left too long. If you have a clinic letter or post-op instructions, bring them to the first visit and we’ll build around them.
What this treatment does for you
Stiffness prevented early
Safe, protocol-appropriate movement from the earliest permitted stage.
Strength rebuilt in order
Muscle loss after surgery is fast and recoverable — with correctly sequenced loading.
Swelling and scar managed
Hands-on techniques that keep tissue mobile while it heals.
Confidence to use it again
Structured progression until the joint feels like yours again, not just medically healed.
Your post-surgery rehabilitation program, step by step

We read your surgeon’s instructions and set the stage gates for your recovery.
Early mobility
Swelling control, safe range of motion and gentle activation within the permitted limits.
Strength and function

Questions about this treatment
When should I start after surgery?
Often within the first one to two weeks, and sometimes before the operation. Follow your surgeon’s timeline — call us with your discharge letter and we’ll book accordingly.
Do you follow my surgeon's protocol?
Yes. Where a protocol exists we work to it exactly, and with your consent we’ll report progress back to the surgical team.
What if I've already fallen behind?
It’s rarely too late. Late referrals are common and still improve — the program just starts from where you actually are rather than where the timeline says you should be.
